ABOUT US
History
More than two decades ago, God orchestrated a meeting in Bahrain between a Christian woman (“E”), who was an Arab Gulf citizen and had been actively involved in direct ministry to new believers since 1985, and Baron Reinhold, then a naval officer stationed in Bahrain serving on the FIFTH Fleet staff. They quickly discovered they both shared a passion for evangelism and discipleship among Arabic-speaking people in the Gulf region.
As an undergraduate, “E” earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Cross-Cultural Studies. Her ultimate desire, however, was to study theology and earn a master’s degree in Biblical Counseling to serve her people as a mental health professional. Her desire was to return to the Gulf region and minister to those suffering deep emotional and spiritual pain.
From 2001-2004 Baron and “E” began to pray about how God could use them to reach the people in this region. God ultimately answered their prayers and made a way for “E” to attend the University of Central Florida and then Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida to enable her to be more impactful in her ministry.
A short time later, in 2007, Middle East Missions (MEM) was launched, to enable “E” to utilize her gifts and talents full-time to evangelize, teach, comfort, and equip Arabic-speaking people throughout the world.
“E” returned to the Gulf and worked as a mental health therapist during which time she earned her doctorate (accredited in the Arabian Gulf States) as a trauma specialist. “E” eventually relocated to the United States over safety concerns but continues to travel back to the Middle East region for extended periods of time to minister in person. While in the United States, she ministers virtually through daily radio and TV broadcasts transmitted via satellite and the internet. For more than fifteen years MEM has partnered with “E” to fulfill the Great Commission.
Since its founding in 2007, MEM has regularly been involved in:
